PSC Concentrated Inspection Campaign on Propulsion and Auxiliary Machine.
On September 1st, the Paris and Tokyo MoU’s will begin a joint concentrated inspection campaign (CIC) on the vessel’s propoulsion and auxiliary machinery in order to ensure the compliance with SOLAS Chapter II-1.
The scope of this CIC is the safety of propulsion and auxiliary machinery: working order and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, auxiliary equipment and their related alarm systems.
Familiarity of the crew with the safety and emergency procedures with regards these systems, will also have a special consideration.
