BALEARIC ISLANDS` PORT AUTHORITIES HAVE ISSUED A RESOLUTION DATED MARCH 5TH 2018 TO REGULATE THE SCHEDULE OF ACTITIVITIES THAT GENERATE NOISES AT VESSEL`S AND YACHTS` DECKS
Balearic Island`s Port Authorities have issued a Resolution dated March 5th 2018 to regulate the schedule of activities that generate noises at vessel`s and yachts` decks. Noise is defined as sounds that produce vibrations or noises whatever the acoustic mean that generates it that might cause loud or unpleasant disturbances, risk or damage to people, to the development of their activities or that cause meaningful effects in the environment.
The purpose of this Order is to regulate the schedule or timing of activities that generate noises in the deck of cruises, yachts or pleasure/sport crafts, during navigation or scale in the ports, specifically in the Ports of Palma, Alcudia, Mao, Ibiza and Savina.
In the period of time from 00.00 h to 09.00 in the morning it is prohibited to carry out any kind of activity that generates music or noises in the vessels. The only exceptions are the previously authorized activities by the Port`s Authority Direction that are specifically granted and carried out in piers away from the zones inhabited by people.
The violation of this Order will be considered a non-severe or minor infraction, but can be fined with up to 60.000, 00 euros.
