 STEVEDORE STRIKE CONVENED FOR 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30 NOVEMBER 2019

The State Coordinator of Sea Workers (CETM for its name in Spanish) has convened a strike for its nearly 7,000 workers to protest against the lack of an agreement that regulates their labor and adequate it to the new rules for stevedores. This agreement was supposed to be reached before the end of this year.
This strike will take place from 8.00 am of November 25th to 8:00 am of the next day. From then and until November 30th, the strike will take place in the odd/uneven hours.
The strike will not require minimum services because it will not affect perishable, hazardous or strategic need goods, nor passenger vessels’ services.

 CONVOCADA HUELGA DE ESTIBADORES DEL 25 AL 30 DE NOVIEMBRE 2019
Casi 7,000 trabajadores del sector portuario han sido convocados por la Coordinadora Estatal de Trabajadores del Mar (CETM) a una huelga en todos los puertos de España para protestar contra la falta de acuerdo para adecuar sus Convenios laborales a las nuevas normas de estiba, el cual se suponÃa que debÃa adoptarse antes de finalizar este año.
Esta huelga se realizará de las 8:00 am del dÃa 25 de Noviembre hasta las 8:00 am del dÃa siguiente y en las horas impares los siguientes dÃas.
La huelga planteada no requiere de servicios mÃnimos, ya que no afectará el transporte de mercancÃas perecederas, peligrosas, las que cubren necesidades estratégicas ni de pasajeros.
